Family Events

The Myers-Wilkins Community School Collaborative organizes monthly  Family Events each year which bring families, friends, and neighbors together for cultural enrichment, learning, and celebration of the children’s accomplishments.

Many of these events also feature a nutritious, ethnic-themed meal.

2016-2017 Family/Community Events

Tellabration, Thursday, November 17th, 2015, 5:30-7:00 p.m.
5:30p.m  A light Dinner will be served in the cafeteria

6:00  Storytellers and musicians entertain and delight families and neighbors with tales of valor, cunning, and wisdom.

Fall Enda Semesta Fiesta, Thursday, December 15th, 2016, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
A semi annual celebration and showcase of student’s learning and accomplishments in the after-school academic and cultural enrichment programs. Features a meal, exhibits and performances by Myers-Wilkins students.

“Steps to the Future” Powwow, Wednesday, January 25th, 2015, 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Annual celebration of educators, students, and lifelong learning. Features a Career and Higher Education Fair with over 30 presenters, a feast, and powwow. Singers, dancers, and families came from our local community as well as Northern Minnesota and Michigan.

Cabin Fever Reliever, Thursday, March 23rd  2016, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
A late winter evening of health and wellness activities for Myers-Wilkins families and the community. Features a healthy meal, fitness, dance, and health-related fun for the whole family!
