Families, school staff, and community members enjoy the many opportunities to gather for cultural celebrations, lifelong learning, and building friendships. There are several traditional events hosted annually by the Myers-Wilkins Community School Collaborative. Among these are: Steps to the Future Powwow, Enda Semesta Fiesta, Cabin Fever Reliever and Hillside Youth Theatre’s plays. Additionally, the M-WCSC partners with community agencies and school staff to offer a variety of events that promote school and civic engagement.
The “Steps to the Future Powwow” coming up on Thursday, November 14th, 2013, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Myers-Wilkins School will feature a traditional feast, singing and dancing, and a Career and Higher Education Fair for children and family members of all ages.
